ADVERTISEMENT FOR GENERAL SECRETARY
Job Summary
The St. Lucia Football Association (SLFA) is looking for a dynamic applicant for the post of General Secretary.
He/She will be accountable to the President and shall be responsible for supervising the work of the secretariat of the Association (SLFA).
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Overall supervision of the secretariat of the Football Association
- He/She will be the chief executive of the general secretariat
- Implement decisions passed by the Congress and Executive Committee in compliance with the President's directives
- Manage and keep the accounts of the SLFA properly
- Compile the minutes for the meetings of Congress, Executive Committee, Emergency Committee, Standing and Ad-hoc Committees
- Coordinate relations with the Confederations, Members and committees;
- Signing decisions on behalf of any SLFA committee, provided that no other ruling exists in the respective regulations
- Shall make recommendations to the President on the appointment of managerial and other staff (directors) in the general secretariat.
- Other administrative duties as may be assigned by the President from time to time.
Skills/Knowledge/Ability
- Strong computer background and knowledge in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to demonstrate in-depth understanding of administration and protocols.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to motivate staff.
- Must be results driven.
Required Experience & Qualification
- A bachelor degree in Sports Administration, Management or a related field with a minimum of three (3) years experience at a supervisory level or
- Advanced Diploma in Management or a related field with five years experience at a supervisory level
- A valid driver's license
- A passion for football and/or football administration would be an asset
